Pinecroft Design Studios

October 26, 2014 By Harrison

Pinecroft Design StudiosWe selected a letterhead style font for Pinecroft Design Studios to really make this logo beautiful and decorative. We used a combination of several existing font styles, then modified the lines and swirls to make everything work well together.

The small pine cone element and green colorations reinforce the name of the business. The more formal font and bars at the bottom give the design a foundation.

The I Love Dance! studio teaches young students dance techniques on site at area schools, churches and other facilities. As most students are young girls, the studio wanted a more feminine style logo with lots of movement. We chose to combine several script fonts styles and simplified or embellished a few components to get the flow we were after. The leaping dancer helps form the letter “D”.

Our new updated logo is simply stated with large, flat block lettering with a few decorative twists. The fun, italic letter “i” at the center draws in the eye and makes use of negative space to create the “dot”, which also connects the stacked initials on top.

The Celebrations Winds is a community band of professional and amature musicians and music teachers. Its not a faith based organization per se, but their performance venues are often area churches, to take advantage of ease of access and outstanding acoustics.

We chose a gothic window style as the background, segmented into four panes that form that Christian cross. The crossed herald trumpets signify both the musical nature of the organization and the celebratory part of their name.

The logo is in perfect balance and symmetry, drawing the eye center and upward.

I Love Dance

This is the second website we built for I Love Dance. The first site back in 2008 featured a pastel color palate, soft imagery and subtle detailing. To meet the director’s new vision, this updates version is much bolder, designed mostly in black, white and greys, with pink accents. We also redesigned the logo to give it an updated look.

The new site is mobile responsive and build on a WordPress foundation and a custom theme. Since this on-site dance studio has become more successful, it needed a more robust locations and scheduling feature, so we created a custom admin tool that allows for easy management of area locations and flexible scheduling. Our favorite feature is our integration with Google Maps, which added new locations to a master map and creates individual maps for each site all within the admin interface.
